For over 50 years, Melwood has been a trailblazer in creating a more inclusive world. As the nation’s leading employer, advocate, and provider for people with disabilities and their caregivers, Melwood’s mission has grown far beyond its horticultural roots. However, with this growth came challenges. Melwood’s multifaceted nature—spanning advocacy, employment services, and community programs—made it difficult for audiences to understand the organization’s full scope. Different audiences had different needs, and Melwood’s communications often struggled to tell a cohesive story. The organization needed a straightforward narrative and a system to differentiate its parent entity from its divisions while maintaining a unified identity.

Bottom Line, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering underserved students to access and succeed in college, faced a complex national challenge. To grow its impact, the organization needed to evolve its brand to effectively engage a wide array of audiences—from high school students and university partners to donors and corporate sponsors—spread across diverse regions of the country. This required a unified brand that could address different local needs while maintaining a consistent and inspiring national identity, thereby standing out in the competitive education sector.

The RAA is the national advocacy and support organization for US regional air carriers, and every day millions of travelers rely on RAA members to transport them safely. But the association is not without challenges. Regional air service has declined considerably in recent years, and to address this need, the RAA needed a new message and annual report design experience. We designed the 2018 Annual Report for the association to energize and engage their members, and highlight the undeniable impact that the regional-airline industry plays in keeping travelers safe and people connected.

Their resilience and relentless spirit are celebrated in this year’s annual report theme, "Relentless," highlighting their continuous effort to advance the industry against all odds.
